It reminds me of two semesters ago in my "Books In Dialogue" class (colleges have some gay-ass required classes) and we were talking about the various Greek and Roman gods (who are all the same anyway).
And I mean, you're probably referring to peoples' original characters.
But this is on topic, I swear. xD
Anyway, there's this story where Venus' husband (whose name I can't remember to save my life! Dx He's the god of like blacksmiths) thought she was cheating on him, so he constructed this net/web out of fine gold and laid it across his bed while he went out to work.
And so Ares/Mars came in and he and Venus started going at it. And the net caught them right in the middle of sex.
And so all the gods came over to point and laugh, while all the goddesses were too ashamed and so they stayed home.
And one of the gods (...Mercury?) was like, "Yeah, I'd allow myself to get caught in a net if I got to have sex with Venus 8)"
And all of us students were like, "D: How can they impose these moral values on us if they themselves don't obey them?"
I mean, Zeus *does* everything on the planet: relatives, animals, humans, you name it. 8)
Anyway. I'll shut up now. ;_;
